This was a fascinating and very well-written historical fiction account of Eliza Lucas Pinckney’s life. I enjoyed this read so very much, and learning about Eliza’s great determination and significance to the first successful production of Indigo in Charleston, SC. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys historical fiction based on actual events and real people, as well as anyone who enjoys Charleston history. I hope to read more by Natasha Boyd.
