This was a wonderful work of southern fiction at its BEST! While it was my first book by Leslie, it absolutely will not be my last. She wove a wonderful story of relationships of all kinds, the strongest, unique friendships and family challenges, with well developed characters that I didn’t want to stop reading about. There were many twists I did not see coming. I also loved what I would call all of the southernisms and southern traditions that were absolutely the way things are still done in the south. It hit so close to home for me coming from similar southern roots.
I won’t give anything away, but she definitely left this story open for a sequel, and I really hope she writes one. Please pick up a copy of this for yourself and a friend and enjoy reading it together.
