I recently finished this fantastic work of southern fiction by Leah Weiss, and it was outstanding.

This is her second and latest novel, but my first read by her. It will go down as one of my top reads ever. It is everything I love about southern fiction. Though a work of historical fiction, it hit so close to home about my mother’s family, and all of the families who stayed behind on their farms in rural southern America, while their boys fought in WWII. I can hardly believe all of the similarities.
